Business Development Manager

We currently have a need for a Business Development Manager, Financial Services. The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and executing a strategy to cultivate relationships to acquire new business with Nivika customers. As an account management position in Nivika, the incumbent will be responsible for sales management including the development of strategic initiatives required to grow and retain the revenue stream of assigned complex accounts while ensuring customer satisfaction. The Business Development Manager owns the account relationship and is responsible for meeting revenue objectives. Identify key trends and customer needs and leverage industry knowledge to sell across the customer base. Responsible for meeting a wide variety of customer communication needs. Responsible for utilizing consultative selling skills with the assistance of support resources, identify sales opportunities and close sales within assigned accounts.

Minimum of 6-8 years of Consulting Services sales experience within the Financial Services industry.

Ability to develop customized customer solutions and position Nivika as the provider of choice. Excellent presentation skills. Self motivated. Strong written and oral communication skills.


Job Responsibilities:
  • Business Development:
    Develops new business, identifies and sells to client needs, translates services features to benefits, has good listening skills, is sensitive to customers, delivers effective presentations, negotiates well, uses closing skills appropriately, develops sales skills. (50%)
  • Account Management:
    Builds a national sales plan, expands sales within existing accounts, develops relationships with key decision makers, understands and responds to customer needs, tracks and monitors account activity (30%)
  • Sales Goals:
    Achieves business plan goals, meets new business development goals.
  • Consultative Skills:
    Builds client confidence, sets achievable client expectations, ensures commitments to clients are met, solicits opinions and ideas from clients, responds to internal clients. (10%)
  • Sales Organization:
    Submits accurate and timely sales reports, maintains account records, uses samples/literature efficiently, maximizes promotions and incentive programs. (10%)
  • Sales Team Support:
    Must be able to and willing to work in highly motivated team environment. Shares information with manager and team, works as part of a team, works with other departments, follows company policies and values, balances short-and long-term goals.
  • Business Development Key Areas of Competencies:

Financial Analyst (2 positions)

We are aggressively looking for two qualified candidates to fill an Analyst level position in our investment banking practice:

Qualifications will include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Accounting.
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience.
  • Financial modeling skills.
  • Strong research and financial analysis skills.
  • Proficiency using CapitalIQ is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of motivation, commitment, and dedication.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and support team initiatives throughout the national practice.
Responsibilities will include:
  • In-depth company and industry research to support marketing activities and pitch opportunities.
  • Draft and prepare marketing materials (e.g., pitch books, corporate profiles, market data/analyses).
  • Support deal teams as appropriate with research and analysis.
  • Research and identification of potential buyers or target companies.
  • Prepare industry newsletters.
  • Run valuation models utilizing CapitalIQ.
  • Utilize Excel to build financial models and maintain target lists.

Research Analyst

We are looking for a research analyst to conduct in-depth research and write concise recommendations, investment analyses and actionable thought pieces that help clients get in-depth analysis of markets they target. With no investment banking relationships or proprietary products, our clients offer fully independent and unbiased research.

The analyst will be responsible for maintaining coverage of REIT mutual funds; assembling and reviewing data to conduct analysis and due diligence of private and publicly traded REITS, 1031 exchanges and other alternative investments such as hedge funds of funds; communicating directly with our clients on a variety of issues/questions to assist them in managing their clients’ investment portfolios; authoring written research reports; and participating in ad hoc projects as necessary.

We seek an individual who is passionate about investing, has a particular interest in real estate and is able to take initiative and follow through on projects independently.

This role requires familiarity with investment-oriented database and analytical software (Bloomberg, Morningstar, Lipper, Zephyr, Excel, etc.), strong written and verbal communication skills, strong quantitative skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of work experience in a related investment research role. An MBA is strongly preferred.
